Annica at MIDNIGHT.
I have a terrible memory when it comes to things that happened in my own life. I cannot remember what happened earlier this year. Well, I can, but I don’t remember when or details. I’ll manage, though!
I’m very glad that 2010 is ending. It hasn’t been the best year ever. I’m hoping that next year will be much better. I’ll make it be better. IT SHALL BE AMAZING.
Oooh, on a totally unrelated note, my best friend and I are starting a collab. channel together. It’s just going to be the two of us. Like the Vlogbrothers, but much less organised and things. If you want to watch our videos, check us out at http://www.youtube.com/user/missp3ll3d *shameless plug* Neither of us are very good vloggers at all, so if you do watch, you’ve been warned.
January
I love the lyrics to this song. That is all. Well, no, that’s not all. I like the song itself and I like Charlie and it has the Tardis and a Mario mushroom, but yeah. Lovely song and lovely lyrics.
February
I chose this video because it’s beautiful and because this is around the time when I truly started getting into wizard rock and nerdy music and things. Let’s Lumos! was the first wrock band that I listened to.
March
Watching meme week on 5AG was rather, well, interesting. And funny. I chose this video because I remember how my best friend had this song on her iPod and we would listen to it and move our hands in a leek spinning motion. That was before this video, but oh well. It’s a fun memory.
April
I like Lady Gaga, I like covers/remixes, and I like violins. Win-win-win.
May
I thought that this music video and song were adorable. Plus, it has Amy Pond. AMELIA POND!
June
This video does not represent what June was like at all for me. June was a miserable month. Two of my best friends (Venessa and Hyrum) both moved away in June. I simply chose this because I remember that I listened to it a lot during the summer and because who doesn’t love Emma Watson?
July
This video is lovely. I really like John’s Thoughts From Places videos. Videos are like this are one of the many reasons why I love Nerdfighteria.
August
I’ve linked to this video before. I think it was in my first NEA post. Anyway, I chose it because August was the month that we started this project and because I’m Tuesday! Yay!
September
I chose this video because September was the month I started high school, and while I knew many of these things, this video kind of reminds me of school. Stupid reason? Yes.
October
I chose this video because it really, really got me excited for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I’m not sure why. I don’t even like Rihanna or that song.
November
This is an amazing video. I’m sure that it must have taken loads of work. I picked it because November was the month that I began reading The Hunger Games trilogy. I really love the Hunger Games now. I’m currently reading Mockingjay. I was tempted to pick a Harry Potter video or a NaNoWriMo video, because those were the highlights of my November, but I think this one is a better fit.
December
I chose this video because I love wrock, I love MoM, and I love this song. When I was in the car on the way to see Deathly Hallows for the third time, I was playing this song and singing along. My poor parents raised a total nerd.

Jess describes HER 2010
Kaleb's song immediately reminds me of this past February. It's amazingly catchy, and I still remember all of the words, 10 months later.

Winona is sorry!
first of all: I want to apologize for not posting last week. I've been pretty busy and I had no time to blog, sorry.
This week's theme is FRIENDS and - surprise - I do have some.
My best friend Alena for example. We've know each other for three years now but we've become best friends over the past year. She's a lovely girl. I mean, of course she annoys the hell out of me some time but that happens in any friendship. We don't do a lot unfortunately, even though she lives in the street next to mine. But she's often so busy that she just doesn't find the time. Or she's just lazy sometimes. Whatever :)
I'm usually cool with everyone I meet, I have met so many people this year, it's unbelievable. I don't call every one of them a friend, but they're all awesome and very nice. I have another good friend, Lara. I'm not SO close to her but I can talk to her about everything! We've been friends since our class trip to London in February and she's, like, one of the funniest persons I have met so far! She's so nice and lovely.
I have many male friends, most of them are musicians and that's the reason I met most of them. At concerts, in school. They're all very nice and I always thought I couldn't talk to boys about a lot of things but when I talk to them we talk about EVERYTHING! I love that!
Have a nice christmas, girls :)

Annica has friends?
Today's post is probably going to be long.
Yay! Back to rambling!
So, I'm not going to bother you all by telling you what is going on in my life. I'm just on Winter Break. That's all.
Now, on to the theme!
Much like Jess, I have very few close friends. I get along with most people, however. Even the decepticons. I mean, I don't have any enemies. That's probably because I'm really quiet too.
My best friend is Venessa.
When we first met, I thought she was the coolest person ever. Little nine year old Annica admired her loads. I think I've told you this before... Maybe not. Anyway, I don't admire her so much anymore. She's awesome and I love her, of course, but I don't worship her or anything.
Venessa was the one who got me addicted to the internet. She likes anime, video games, dancing, being adorable and having every freaking boy like her, and bears. She moved to the other side of the country (Minnesota) this summer. ):
Natassja is best friend number two.
During our first year of friendship, I hated her. All she had to do was open her mouth and I'd want to smack her. She didn't realise how much she annoyed me, however. She thought that Venessa and I were totally awesome. She tended to copy the things that we did.
I don't hate her anymore, fortunately. Sometimes, she's still super annoying and I want to smack her, but what friends don't have those moments. Natassja is probably the most loyal friend that I have. Even when I am a total buttface to her, she still sticks around. I'm really grateful for that. Because I can really be a jerk.
Natassja really likes Japan (she used to live there), everything relating to Japan, stupid television shows (like Ugly Betty...ugh!), reading, and being friends with freaking everybody.
Hyrum plays the role of totally platonic boy best friend.
Like Jess and Kate, Hyrum and I totally don't agree politically. He is a total Republican who doesn't like gays or abortion or Obama and I'm a total Democrat who is pro-gay, pro-choice, and an Obama supporter. There are many other things we disagree on, too. MANY THINGS. Last year, I remember him saying something terrible about gays and me not talking to him for about a week. He still tried to talk to me because we sat next to each other in math and at lunch. Bless his heart.
He is probably one of the most funny and most clever people I know, however. So that makes up for our politically disagreements. He is one of the people who can make laugh no matter the mood I'm in.
He's the one I met up with at the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows midnight premiere. He thinks that he knows more about Harry Potter than me. Psh. As if. Unfortunately, Hyrum lives a few towns over and I don't get to see him much.

Jess is SO HAPPY that it's almost time for winter break
Sigh.
This past weekend was this whole frenzy of try to get organized, and I'm kind of still doing that. I need the break desperately.
This week's theme is kind of lame, but also kind of nice. This week, talk about your friends! IRL friends, not online friends. (I assume we all have at least one friend in real life.)
I'm the kind of person that has very few close friends, but is pretty much cool with everyone. There are some people that irk me to no end, but that is a very small number of people. Only two people that I can think of right away, actually.
Recently, I've really liked talking to my friend Kuppy (Her name is Kate. Kuppy is this inside joke-y thing from when we were, like, ten. Maybe eleven.) because we have completely different views on everything. Especially politics and religion. An actual conversation that happened at lunch today:
J: "Kuppy! Don't Ask, Don't Tell was repealed!"
K: "Ughhhh, I know!"
J: "Wait, why is that a bad thing?"
K: "It's an awful thing! Our brave soldiers shouldn't have to worry about someone flirting with them in the middle of a battle!"
J: "Kup, what about the women in the military?"
K: "That too! Why do they allow women in the military?! It's just WRONG!"
J: "Why?"
K: "Because, it is."
J: "Do you even hear yourself?"
Haha, I love her. Butnoseriously, we disagree on everything. Apparently, I'm slowly convincing her that gay people aren't EVIL AND OUT TO MOLEST THE ENTIRE PLANET, so that's positive. I love arguing with her about stuff, especially because I am normally right. (The only thing we can't seem to settle on is abortion. She's too held in her religious views for me to sway her at all.)
I've had two best friends for a while now, Shannon and Geneva. They're strange and nothing like me at all actually. That might be why I like them. I seek diversity IRL.
And Jess is tired and stressed and GAHHHH POLYNOMIALS WITH IMAGINARY NUMBERS WHY DO YOU EXIST?!

Annica's shortest post?
Well, this week has been better than the past few weeks. Except for the fact that I have to give TWO speeches tomorrow. Ugh.
Yeah, I really don't have much to say.

Jess couldn't come up with a theme again? Really?
But don't worry, the last two(!!) weeks of this year have themes already. Are they good themes? Maybe not. Well, I like the last one. Actually, if you have any theme suggestions for next week, include them in your post, because I will totally get rid of next week's if one of you come up with something better.
So. Yule Ball yesterday. oh. my. GAHHHHHHHHHHHH.
It was... GAHHHHH. Siriusly, I can't form coherent sentences about it.
The non-wrock bands were more amazing than I expected. I thought they would be strange and out of place, but they really weren't. They just had amazing shows. Getting to see JFF and Whompy for the second time was amazing, because I've become huge fans of them since the Roflcoptour show in July. I could go on, but I need to save some ideas for my blog post(s?) on it.
But, basically, this sums it up pretty nicely: I sang and danced (well, jumped up and down) to The Weapon literally two feet away from Paul DeGeorge while underneath a giant parachute made of random sewn together bedsheets. Yeah. I know.
The only bad thing about the Yule Ball was that the extreme awesomeness (or, probably the loud music) made me physically ill today. So, I'm sick, and that's why this post is so short.
Annica, I'll read you tomorrow! Yeah. Kbye.

WHY IS SANJA SO BUSYY?!?!

Winona asks you to never ever ask her about music again!
Hello ladies,
it's Wednesday and that means it's my day!
Today was a really lazy Wednesday. I went to school and it snowed, like, ALOT, then I wrote a test and I think I might have failed it. And then, at 3pm, I left school and now I'm sitting here and typing this rather short blog post because I don't have much time today.
This week's theme is "your favourite song". Well, unfortunately, I am obsessed with music so I can't choose only one song. SORRY GIRLS!
So, here are my favourite songs at the moment (in no particular order)
- David Guetta feat. Rihanna - Who's That Chick (Afrojack Dub Remix)
- My Chemical Romance - Bulletproof Heart
- Duck Sauce - Barbra Streisand
- Turn Left - When Autons Attack
- Melanie Thornton - Wonderful Dream (Christmas Is Coming)
- Linkin Park - Blackbirds
- The Parselmouths - The Day I Met A Snake
- The Beatles - The Fool On The Hill
Sanja, I'll read you tomorrow!

Annica is indecisive (what a surprise. . .)
Guess what I did on Sunday?! I went to a Harry Potter exhibition in Seattle. It was lovely. They Sorted a few volunteers at the beginning. I was Sorted as a Slytherin. Then, they led us to the Hogwarts Express and said, "Welcome to Hogwarts". I nearly cried. Yep. I'm a baby. It was honestly very wonderful. I would live there if I could. Okay. Maybe that's a lie. It was still magnificent, though.
Anyway, on with the theme. I apologise for being annoying and choosing so many songs. I can't pick one favourite song! Blasphemy!
Annica's Favourite Songs as of December 7th, 2010 at around Five in the Evening (Subject to Change in the Next Two Minutes)
Dog Days are Over by Florence and the Machine
Wake Up by Arcade Fire
O' Children by Nick Cave
The Scientist by Coldplay
Dreams by the Butterbeer Experience
World News by Local Natives
Sleeping Sickness by City and Colour
Whatever You Like (cover) by Anya Marina
Outside World by Lauren Fairweather

Somewhere Over Such Great Heights, You're My Wonderful World by Edd Plant
1901 by Phoenix
Can't Back Down by Bad Rabbits

Well, now that I've posted pretty much my entire iPod rather than just one of my favourite songs, I'm going to go. . .

Winona, I'll read you tomorrow.

Jess nearly forgot to post today
Anyway! Hey girls, it's Monday!
This week's theme is short, and I'm happy about that, because I need to get to bed, y'know? So... It's favorite(faVOURite) song week! In your post, tell us what your favorite song is. And include a video if you want to/can.
So, my favorite song is Shortwave, Part 1 by Alan Lastufka and Luke Conard. It's the second track on their album Erase This. Not many people had said that they liked Shortwave, Part 1 when the album first came out, and that made me sad, because I still think it is brilliant.
Then Mike Lombardo covered it. And all was right in the world.
Above was Mike's cover of the song, which I also adore. The original is still my favorite, though.
In other news, I am extremely excited for Sunday, which is the day of the Yule Ball in Philadelphia. I don't believe that I've mentioned it on this blog, but I might have. You'll hear about that next week. (I get to meet Harry and the Potters! SQUEE!)
Short post is short? Yeah.
Annica, I'll read you tomorrow!
PS: Girls, please tell us your birthday in your post as well! I want to make sure that we don't miss anyone's. (Mine's March 24!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TUESDAY!
I have no idea what else to say. But, yeah.
I'll say this again in my post on Monday, but I think everyone should tell their birthday, so that we don't miss it or something. Yeah.

Bridget's Internet History - Volume One
I first got onto the internet with Neopets, which I still... play... maybe... sometimes... Don't mock me, okay? It's a fun game!
Anyways, from Neopets I went to other kind of kids game websites. I was never really into the social networking when I was reeeally young, because it didn't REALLY exist yet. However, when I moved from Texas my mom got me my first email address, polandgirl8 (because I was moving to Poland). I actually went and checked that a few days ago and I'm pretty sure that inbox is so full with spam that I'm personally slowing down Yahoo! servers.
Anyways, from there I didn't do much online other than look at funny pictures and play games. I first found Youtube through some sort of funny cat video but I didn't really start watching actual Youtubers until Shay Carl, and *shudder* Fred. I still adore Shay Carl, not so much Fred. I made a Piczo website (which were all the rage at my school) which inspired me to make my first actual website. But I'm getting ahead of myself.
I started to get more and more interested in the internet and created a blog which was http://therandomnesschronicles.blogspot.com . I became obsessed with blogging, and finally moved over to wordpress and bought my first domain name: pockymouse.com
From there, I started myself on becoming a interneter. I created a facebook, and a youtube and a new email with the same name: pockymouse. I wanted to make a name for myself. Looking back at my old Youtube and such now, I'm embarrassed. The videos had bad editing, bad footage and were just... bad. I wanted a fresh start and a clean slate and that was basically given to me when I realized that if I were to make any money using the name "pockymouse", a lawsuit could be filed because of the trademarked term "pocky". So, I make a whole new name, mouseinsneakers and started anew. I think my new videos and blog posts and much better, personally. ;)
Honestly (let's be honest), I didn't find the VlogBrothers until recently. I mean, I've watched them but never faithfully. My inner nerd really unleashed itself last year (the vests, legwarmers, and huge glasses popped out like a tornado and it started the torrent of awesome) and so end of last year I found the VlogBrothers and been watching (and reading John's books) ever since. However, I'm kicking myself now because two or so years ago John came to my school (when I was living in The Netherlands) and I DIDN'T KNOW WHO HE WAS SO I DIDN'T GO SEE HIM hfdksfhdkjadf. GIANT SQUID OF ANGER. Urgh, some day. (: VidCon next year, eh eh?
Okay, I've literally had to shorten this to about half because let's face it, I don't want to make you all read an essay. So I'll leave it there for now. Have a great weekend you all, and Jess I'll read you on Monday!

Winona's internet history, which is so interesting, you should put everything aside and read this.
With 12 I made an account at MCRmy.com (fanclub of my favourite band, My Chemical Romance.) and got involved in the community there and I'm still involved in the fanclub today, only our site doesn't exist anymore. ;__; Then, I signed up on YouTube to subscribe to my favourite bands and look at funny videos.
With thirteen I got my first blog on blogspot, which was based on fashion, music, artsy stuff and myself. Well, like my blog today, only childish and pink. I had ... 2 readers, one was my friend Lina and the other one was some weird Japanese guy who always posted comments saying weird Japanese things. Because of that I deleted my blog soon, I was afraid of this guy. (Thinking back, I regret it, I posted really nice dresses and such.)
With fourteen I got a new blog, which is the one I have now. Meanwhile, I had signed up on Facebook and Twitter, made a new YouTube account (I don't vlog. I did it one time for you guys and let's all just keep quiet about some videos you might have seen of me on there.) and I recently made a Tumblr account, which I love. Tumblr is cute!
Oh, I just remembered I had a fansite when I was thirteen, it was dedicated to Mindless Self Indulgence. I typd lyk th4t b4cK th3n. (I typed like that back then.) I was a thirteen-year-old-scene-kid-hipster-mixture.
Well, how did you get into the vlogbrothers then?, you might ask yourself now. Don't worry, I'll tell you now: I've read my first Harry Potter book when I was 7 and since then I was really into it. I dressed up as Hermione for Halloween, I got a lot of Harry Potter merchandise from my mum and everytime a new book was released I went to my favourite book store around the corner (which is still here <3) and got the new book. Usually, I wore a dress full of HP batches and drew a scar on my forehead.
Well, looking for the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood-Prince trailer last year I found Hank's "Accio Deathly Hallows" video and I was completely obsessed with the Vlogbrothers soon. Through them, I found the Nerdfighters community, which I thought I'd fit in quite well, regarding my obsession with comics, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, History, Music and Art. Well, I then asked for people interested in a collab channel, because I love blogging and uhm, well... you all know what happened (:
Sanja, I'll read you tomorrow.
